Terry Joslin, P.E., CET
Terry is a Professional Engineer and Certified Environmental Trainer with over thirty years of experience in assisting clients to effectively reduce the risks to life, property, and the environment. He has extensive experience in safety, loss prevention, fire protection, environmental analysis and plans for vessels, refineries and offshore and onshore petroleum facilities. He was a member of the original NIIMS oil spill ICS task force and continues working on a national level to improve ICS for responding to Oil Spills. He is an active member of the Area Committees for San Francisco, Philadelphia, Northwest, and LA/LB.

Bob Mandel
Bob has over 30 years experience (22 years as a Federal On-Scene Coordinator) in the environmental emergency response field with the US EPA, managing dozens of hazmat responses, investigations and disaster response and recovery operations throughout the Pacific Southwest. He managed significant elements of EPA’s operations at such major incidents as the Space Shuttle Columbia recovery and California floods of 1995 and 1997; served as EPA’s IC at high-hazard incidents such as the 1992 Cantara Loop Train Derailment, Mt. Shasta, CA and the 1989 PEPCON ammonium perchlorate plant explosion, Henderson, NV.

Mike Kohn, CSP
Mike has 15 years of Health, Safety and Emergency Response Training experience in a wide variety of industries. He provides continued expertise and support in the development of both BlueWater instructor-led and Web-based training courses. His extensive industry experience coupled with his dynamic instructional style brings out the best in his curriculum and his students.

Andrés Nava
Andrés brings a rich, creative background in database and dynamic website design. He manages the operation of the server environment which supports the BWeb training division. He has developed the sequel-based Learning Management System providing real time training tracking and student records management. His technology experience and creativity has brought new and exciting solutions to many BlueWater project challenges.
Combining his expertise in user-centric system with a focus on database-driven websites, his support for BlueWater includes:

Randy Miller
Randy has over 30 years of experience in petroleum refining and terminal operations. His expertise in refinery operations brings in-depth knowledge of Marine Terminals for compliance and training projects. He also brings experience and capabilities with oil spill and hazmat emergency response.

Kevin French
Kevin has eighteen years of industrial safety, twenty years power plant rigging experience, and over 1000 hours of live rescue experience. He brings this first hand safety and rescue experience to the BlueWater Training.
He is instructor for:
- Firefighting
- Enclosed and Confined Space Rescue
- Safety at heights/Fall Protection training.
- First Aid/CPR Instructor
Eric Heinitz
Eric has more than 20 years of experience responding to oil and hazardous material spills and environmental emergencies. He has significant experience from service in the USCG where he served at the National Response Center in Washington DC; as Operations Officer, Navigator, Ship Salvage and Deep Sea Diving Officer on board the Coast Guard Cutter Sassafras; and as marine inspector and investigator for accidents around the world including the EXXON Valdez incident in 1989.
He brings further experience in cleanup operations at Valdez, Alaska and as a State On-Scene Coordinator for Washington State Department of Ecology.

Gary Pirkig
Gary is a retired Fire Captain and Deputy Fire Chief. He has over 17 years experience in safety, hazardous materials response and emergency response - from Emergency Medical Technician II to ICS Instructing. Gary has an extensive background in Marine Safety & Marine Firefighting. He has served on the USCG Marine Firefighting Team and as staff member at the USCG Marine Firefighting School. Gary is retired from the USCG holding the rank of Chief.
He manages BlueWater medical training including:
